What the features mean on the road

Long-oval fit: Arai adds space front to back and takes it away side to side. Why it matters: for a narrow head with a pronounced forehead, a round-oval helmet can leave pressure points or gaps; this shape is built for you.
VAS shield system: lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm, which makes the temple area of the shell smoother and better able to reduce impact energy getting into the helmet.
VAS latch with de-mist: holds the shield closed and resists unexpected opening, and the larger latch is easy to work.
PB-SCLC shell: a peripherally belted, multi-material laminate that Arai designed to deliver performance at an approachable price.
QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust: good air in and out when riding, and a side vent still exhausts when the top shutter is closed.
FCS cheek pads and water-repellent ES chin cover: layered foam densities cradle the face and help block wind noise, and the chin cover is removable.
Odor-resistant liner: stays fresher for longer.
VAS-Max Vision shield with Pinlock-120 lens: the shield accepts the VAS-MV Pinlock lens, and a ready-to-install Pinlock-120 lens is included. Why it matters: fog resistance on cool mornings and humid Richmond rides.

Fit: long oval

The Signet-X is Arai’s long-oval helmet. Head shape is easiest to judge on your own head, so a quick fitting is worth it.

A good fit if your head is narrow side to side with a more pronounced forehead.
Look elsewhere if your head is closer to intermediate oval. Ask us about the Arai Corsair-X.

The Oriental-2 graphic goes on the same Signet-X shell, liner and shield system as the other Signet-X graphics.

What does long oval mean?

The inside of the helmet is longer front to back and narrower side to side than a round or intermediate shape. It suits riders who find other helmets squeeze the sides of the head.

Is a Pinlock lens included?

Yes. A ready-to-install Pinlock-120 lens comes with the Signet-X.

Is the Oriental-2 the same helmet as other Signet-X graphics?

Yes. The graphic is the paint; the construction is the same.

Can you check my head shape?

Yes. Stop in and we will fit it, free.
