The Arai Regent-X Bend: a full-face street helmet in Arai’s intermediate-oval shape, with the VAS shield system and a soft, removable liner.

What the features mean on the road

Intermediate-oval fit: the shape Arai says fits the majority of head shapes in North America.
VAS shield mechanism with a larger latch: quick and easy to operate, with a latch that holds the shield closed to help prevent unexpected opening.
Smaller, lower VAS pivot cover and a smooth temple area: more smooth shell above the cover, so the helmet is better able to glance off objects in an impact.
PB-CLC shell: a peripherally belted laminate shell Arai developed to be both light and strong.
Adjustable perimeter liner and cheek pads: why it matters: you can fine-tune the fit to your head instead of settling for close.
Soft-brushed, removable liner: easy to clean and comfortable.
FCS cheek pads: layered foam densities on a foam “spring” cradle the face and help block wind noise.
One-piece exhaust vent and an always-open top exhaust: helps pull out heat and moisture in the eye-port area that can cause shield fogging.
Flared shell base: the shell flares 5 mm around the base for easier on and off, and stays secure with the FCS2 cheek pads.

Fit: intermediate oval

Arai builds each helmet in a different head shape. The Regent-X is an intermediate-oval helmet, the shape Arai says suits the majority of North American riders. Arai says a helmet has to be tried on to find the right fit.

How do I clean the liner?

The liner is removable. Arai recommends lukewarm water and mild soap, away from direct sunlight or heat.

Can I adjust the fit?

Yes. The perimeter liner and cheek pads are adjustable, and replacement cheek pads come in different thicknesses.

Is the Bend the same helmet as other Regent-X versions?

Yes. The look is different; the construction is the same.

How do I know if intermediate oval is my shape?
