The Alpinestars Supertech R10 Arius: the MotoGP-developed flagship race helmet, in a multi-layer carbon shell, with Pinlock lens and tear-offs included.
What the features mean on the road
- 3K carbon outer layer over unidirectional carbon, aramid and fiberglass: bonded with pre-preg epoxy resin to control the resin-to-fiber ratio. Why it matters: strength and energy management with minimal weight and limited shell deflection. About 1,540 g in size M.
- Four inner shells and an eight-piece, six-density EPS liner: sized for fit and tuned for energy absorption. A low-friction inner surface lets the head move independently from the helmet in an angled impact, which helps reduce rotational forces.
- A-Head fitment system: adjust both the height and the tilt at which the helmet sits.
- Aerodynamics from CFD and wind-tunnel testing: low drag and stability, lateral winglets, a visor with turbulators for aero-acoustic performance, and Race and Road spoiler options with a break-away mount.
- 11 ventilation ports: seven intakes and four exhausts, with ducted airflow over the head and chin-vent air channeled across the shield to help prevent fogging.
- Optical Class 1 shield with metal lock: 3 mm thick with anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment, tool-less quick-release, and a metal lock to prevent unwanted detachment in a crash. Pinlock 120XLT and tear-offs are included.
- 220° lateral and 57° vertical vision.
- Removable, washable antimicrobial liner with an emergency release system for the cheek pads and a hydration-hose channel.
Fit and sizing
The R10 comes in sizes XS–XXL with four shell sizes, and the A-Head system adds fine-tuning. Alpinestars doesn’t list a head shape, so come in and we will fit it.
