Carbon, aramid and fiberglass shell (pre-preg epoxy resin): light but strong, with energy dissipation and penetration resistance. Why it matters: less weight on your neck through a long track session.

PLASMA collarbone inserts: two inserts in recesses on each side, designed to absorb shock and reduce injury risk in a slide.

Seven-piece, six-density EPS liner with a low-friction surface: positioned for impact absorption and designed to reduce rotational acceleration of the head, which is linked to concussion. The liner is matched to each shell size.

Aerodynamic spoiler and lateral winglets: low drag and high-speed stability. Why it matters: less buffeting and less neck strain at speed.

220° of peripheral and 57° of vertical vision: a wide eye port so you can see the apex and your mirrors.

10 ventilation ports: six intakes and four exhausts, with a slidable top vent that opens three air channels. Chin-vent air is channeled across the inside of the shield to help prevent fogging.

Optical Class 1 shield with Pinlock 120 MaxVision lens included: double-sided anti-scratch treatment and a tool-less quick-release. Why it matters: fast shield changes and fog resistance.

Fit and sizing
The R7 comes in sizes S–XXL across three shell sizes, with the EPS liner sized to match each shell. The A-Head system lets you tune height and angle. Alpinestars doesn’t list a head shape, so fit is easiest to judge in person.
A good fit if you ride track days or hard on the road and want a lightweight carbon helmet.

Is this a track helmet or a street helmet?
Alpinestars built it for both track and road, with ECE 22.06 and DOT certification.
Can I add a Bluetooth system?
The R7 is A-Connect ready; the communication system is sold separately. Ask us what fits your riding.
Is the A-Core Matte Black/Gray/Red a different helmet from the other colorways?
No. Only the paint differs.
How do I choose a size?
